Frightened to the core.

As a woman, as a mother, as a graduate student, as a future first-time home-buyer, and as a prospective teacher, I am frightened to the core that Mitt Romney even has a shot at winning this presidency.

I'm sickened by the rhetoric.

I'm tired of the bickering.

I want thoughtful, sensible people who are motivated by the interests of each citizen.

I want a future that I feel comfortable raising my daughter in, 

preparing her for a future life of success.

I want a future that secures our education system, 

while ensuring that our students maintain and exceed standards regularly.

Let's give this smart girl a place to start.
